Spamtastic Saturday!
The lack of pictures continues. The picture of me at the race, which is not my favorite self portrait, was taken by SLC Dad as I was mocking him and his photography skills. It makes me smile still. I totally ran fast today. I broke my previous fastest time by three whole minutes! YIPEE!!! You can and should read all about the run HERE!
After the race, mom and I went shopping. She was even nice enough to buy me groceries for next week at Sunflower Market. I totally forgot how much I love Sunflower Market! I think I am going to have to start making the trek there more often. I did find that sign in the bathroom very humorous. I wasn't actually tempted to put any personal item into the toilet, but apparently this is a problem for some ladies.
We met up with lots of friends at Red Robin for yet another birthday celebration tonight. It was a blast. They even sang at me and somebody ordered me some mud pie. It was nice. My mom took some good pics and I will have to post them later. For now, all you get is a blurry picture of me and my date, cute little Ezra!
Mom watched yet another movie. I am very proud of her ability to stay awake and party the past few nights. I must have worked pretty hard to get that fast time in the race, because I actually was the one who fell asleep during the movie. Funny. Now, I am kinda more awake and will partake of some TV. Have I mentioned how I love my TV lately? Well, I do! :)
Cheers!

French Quarter Friday.
The celebration of my birth continues to roll forth. See, I have an attitude that one should celebrate their birthday for one whole week. I started on Wednesday. Tonight, I met up with some friends and the other family at Mimi's Cafe. It was very delightful. Jane, my mom and I then went to Red Mango for yogurt. Very yummy.
I did not take any pictures from the dinner again. I really need to take some pics of me and mom and the festivities!
My car battery went dead at work today because I failed to turn off my lights this morning. Stupid mistake. I was very angry. I hate feeling stranded and this was the SECOND time this week! Luckily, I have great friends at work that helped me.
My mom found this funny gum to make me laugh later in the day. Funny how some little things can make us so very mad and also how other little things can make it easy to deal with the other little annoyances.
Favorite talk of the day was on the way to work with mom.
Mom: "What is that place on the corner?"
Me: "It is a pool hall."
Mom: "Wow, and what is Matiki Island BBQ, that looks interesting?"
Me: "It's a BBQ place..."
Mom: "Yuck"
Me: "...a Hawaiian BBQ. Why did you say yuck, have you had Hawaiian food?"
Mom: "Oh, that would be good. When you said it was a BBQ place, I was thinking of those hot dogs on the rollers, like at gas stations."
Me: "Why would you think that about a Hawaiian BBQ?"
Mom didn't let me finish the Hawaiian part and was thinking of pool hall food. It was pretty funny.
Very good day and now I don't have to work for FOUR whole days! :) Yipee!!!

Tsharing Thursday.
Sometimes you have to just put the letter on the front of words to make them work for the title of your blog, just sayin'.
Do you love the gnome? See the g on the front of gnome is like the t on the front of tsharing. The gnome was a gift from Christmas. He was in Wisconsin until today. Mom brought him to me today. It made me smile.
It did not make me smile that I did not take a picture of Sue and I at Red Lobster. I guess I will have to take more photos the next few days. We are partying like rock stars already! It will be a fun next few days!

Wicked Wednesday.
Wow. How did it get to be Wednesday already? The week is flying by. It has been busy. Monday Isaac, Erin and I tried to go bowling. We ended up just eating Baskin Robins. One of these days, I will actually not eat a single meal out! I then did laundry and grocery shopped. Unfortunately, I came back to find one of my tires flat. Luckily, I have a great friend, who is always awake late, and has great gadgets. Jane came an pumped said tire up. It had a nail in it. I am glad my mechanic is awesome. It was fixed yesterday.
Tuesday I cleaned my room. It had to be done so my mom has a nice place to sleep while she visits.
Today was weigh in day. All of the eating out made me gain two pounds, but I am still good!
Jane and I kicked off the week of Alice bring born celebrations. I believe all of us should celebrate our birthdays for a whole week. It is a pretty big thing to keep surviving this thing called life!!!
I found that spatula at Cracker Barrel. It made me smile.

Just reviewed Superfreakonomics @ Goodreads!
Read the review
SuperFreakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes And Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance by Steven D. Levitt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book is just as good as the first Freakonomics. I love how the authors can make sense of real world issue through economics. Who would think that I would actually have thought that quitting my job and becoming a prostitute would have its benefits. I also think the part about global cooling and there are many cheap options out there to fix the problems of global warming was fantastic. I have always been a skeptic of the idea of global warming and how we are doomed! Great read!
