Fabulous Friday!
On the inside, I am not very excited or happy for Valentine's Day. On the outside, I am trying to put up a happy front.
When I talked to my students about Valentine's Day, I put it in these terms: Valentine's Day for kids is an awesome thing! You know there will be a big party and that you will get cards from people and possibly treats. People show love for you and therefore, you love Valentine's Day. Then what happens? Well, you get past Elementary school and start to fall "in love" with the opposite sex and the idea of being in "a couple.". Society teaches us that this is now what you are supposed to do and Valentine's is no longer about loving everybody it is about being loved by this significant other. So, if you are single and you don't have said significant other, it's just a day to be reminded that you are single. It is what I call "Single Awareness Day."
They were outraged just like I am about how this depressing change of the "holiday" happens. It was pretty funny because they pretty much came up with the idea for a party even though I was actually presenting the idea to them. Fantastic. So at 10:50 Mountain Standard Time on Monday morning, think of me and my class. We will be spreading the love that was meant to be spread on this day!
I snapped the picture of the hallway at school during lunch. I found it silly how they were all lined up sitting against the wall. I am sure they do this daily, but I don't mingle with them much during lunch!
Friday night was spent eating burgers and fries and fabulous yogurt from Baskin Robin with friends. It was fabulous.

Tickle Me Elmo Thursday.
Today was a good day. Any day that starts with Sugar Cookie Herb Tea is good, right? It was tasty with a dab of caramel syrup and milk. YUM.
School went well. The quote of the day happened while I was trying to give directions for an assignments my Health students were to do while viewing a movie and I was interupted by two girls. I looked at them and said:
Me: Do you ever stop talking?
Girl after looking up: "No!"
Awkward pause and then she said: "What?"
So funny. She was so into her other conversation that she spoke truth. Love it!
After school, I went and saw my friend Shule and her cute baby. Bebecito is now very giggly and interactive. I loved playing with her. She is like a Tickle Me Elmo! It was fun to talk with Shule and her husband, after he got home from work. The other pic is of my good friend, Kristi. She has started to show this week; I am so excited for her and her husband.
I then went and watched The Office with Janette. Great night!

Wasabi Wednesday.
I think it is true; we are in the dregs of winter. It is the time of the year when you really want and need a break. Sure, there was Civil Rights Day a few weeks back and President's Day is just around the corner, but we can already feel the long and horrible stretch to Spring Break. Yeah, the silly break that the geniuses in our district office think needs to be in April about one month before summer. It is just plain silliness. So, I feel like I am coasting, but that is life.
I did enjoy the day today. Leadership class was good. The kids are getting close to being ready for our awesome Valentine's Party on Monday. Lunch was funny because of silly quotes by one of the secretaries. Volleyball is almost over(tomorrow is the last day.) It isn't that I hate volleyball, it is the fact that my second hour only has four kids show up most days. Can you imagine how hard it is to play volleyball with lazy kids? Yeah, it is! My afternoon classes went fast. The kids are squirrely in my sixth hour, but that is life. I try to be nice to them, but sometimes I am not. Then I feel real bad and want to quit. Don't worry, I won't, but sometimes I want to.
I did go to my Weight Watchers meeting and that is ALWAYS pleasant. Then, Jane and I went to dinner at a fabulous Japanese place. We had pot stickers. I love pot stickers. We also had this awesome stuff. You basically cook it right at your table. You enjoy the meat and rice and then eventually enjoy the soup that is made from all the juice and stuff. Very yummy.
You have less than a month to figure out what to buy me for my birthday. Just sayin'! I like iTunes cards. I also love anything Packers. I also like puppies. I also like rainbows and long walks on the beach. I also like good smelling men. I also like pajamas. I must go to sleep now. I am starting to think about what to do to celebrate my birthday. What do you think?

Mediocre Monday
I wish there were more words that started with a 'm' that came to mind for yesterday. It was a good day. I got to wear my Packer shirt and bug some of the kids at work. I am not much of a rub it in your face kind of a person so my excitement and cheers were kept low key.
I got a run in before the silly snowstorm came through. That was nice. Okay, so it was not nice because I felt like my shoes were made of steal and all the goo that I put into my body on Sunday during the Superbowl slowed me down. I still got out, so I guess that is good.
I was able to eat dinner with Erin and Isaac(Sister and brother-in-law from the other family). It was nice. We went to Applebee's. Okay, so the shrimp I ordered was gross but beside that, it was nice. The company was great! We went to the mall afterward and it was a nice little adventure. I then went home and watched Chuck. I like Chuck. I would marry Chuck if he were a man. Oh wait, he is a man!
The week started off well. Let's hope it continues to be well.

SUPERbowl Sunday!
Not a whole lot of time before I must be in bed. The Green Bay Packers WON the Superbowl. Whoa. I was pleasantly surprised and so glad I can go to work tomorrow and not be tormented by co-workers and especially not by students. YIPEE.
It was fun to be in Sandy with the other family. They are great. They found it silly that I would have to leave the game when I thought it was not going well. I felt like I was jinx. I am telling you, that touchdown by the Pack in the fourth quarter was totally because I was in the other room ignoring the game and being on facebook. I guarentee it! :) The kiddos were cute with their helmet and Oliver in my hat. It was fun to watch with them around. They got so excited when we did. LOVE IT!! Ezra is now two months and a day. Crazy huh? He will be off to college in no time! I ate way too much. That oreo was amazing. The dog watched the game too. She liked it. I was pretty fierce in my GB mask. I think I look better without the mask, don't you?
Great game and it feels good to be victorious. The Lombardi trophy is now going home to 1265 Lombardi Ave. in Green Bay, Wisconsin. YIPEE!!!
Now off to bed.
