The First Slurpee of the Year!

I play tennis with a friend from work frequently. When we do play tennis, we always go to get Slurpees from Seven-Eleven after we play. Today was officially the first Slurpee of the season. That is a big deal. Playing tennis in shorts and a t-shirt in the sun just felt so good. I am enjoying the warm weather, even though I am being a realist and think it will probably get cold again.

Have you seen the Geico commercial with the stack of money that has eyeballs on top of it? Supposedly this is the money you would save by switching to Geico. Anyway, this got me thinking about how I have this pair of jeans in my closet that just keeps staring and vexing me. Basically, these are the pants I could wear if I would lose ten pounds. I really think that those jeans are just about as annoying as that stack of money! :)

Good, quick day. Tomorrow the NCAA Basketball starts. I am so excited. I love March Madness.

Happy Birthday Bro!

Today is my brother, Erich's birthday. He is quite amazing. I have always looked up to him and hope he knows how much I love him.

Sorry for not writing much the past week. I guess there hasn't been a whole lot going on.

I did have a good lunch with a good friend on Saturday. I then got to see Alisha, who lives in Logan. That girl sure makes me laugh. I think people think we are pretty crazy whenever we are together because we giggle and giggle and giggle.

Crazy that March is going so fast. Also crazy that the third term ends this Friday at school. Whoa, time is flying. I really need to get caught up on grades. Good thing I have laundry to do. I seem to get lots done while at the laundromat.

Well, I am off to school. It is supposed to be 65 degrees today. I am planning a bike ride in the canyon. Exciting!

Highlights

Sometimes there aren't really any big things that happen throughout the day. Sometimes there are just highlights. I had two such highlights today.

The first highlight was having a catch with my new baseball glove(Thanks MOM!) and another one of the teachers, Tom, from my school. We had a blast just playing catch and talking for about an hour. It is very comforting to know that there are good guys out there and it is also good to just have a chat with a good man sometimes. I also was very glad to be breaking in my new glove. I am pretty excited about it.

The second highlight was getting a call from my friend, Melanie, and then being able to go and visit with her. She is a good friend and helped give me a little perspective on something I have been a little pensive about lately. It is great to have good friends. What would we do if we had to just wander this world aimlessly alone? It was also nice to visit with Melanie's little 7-month old, Mable. Man those kids grow fast, don't they?

Well, other than the highlights, it was just the same old same ol'.

20-12

a.k.a. 32. I stopped counting my age at 20. I just add the years on that I am past 20. Like 20-12 equals 32. Get it?

Birthday life has been pretty fun. The chili-mac party was a success. Thanks to all of you who came. Thanks also to the wonderful people who have given me awesome presents. It has been a wonderful birthday. I truly have awesome friends and I am very thankful for each and every one of you!

My mom spoiled me on Saturday. She bought me a new ball glove, ball bag and hiking boots. She is so nice. I sure do like her and not just because she buys me stuff. I think she is a wonderful person who is so caring and easy to get along with. It is going to be hard to put her on a plane tomorrow and say goodbye for a few months. It has been such an awesome time with her. I feel so lucky to have had her to be part of my celebrating.

Tonight we went up to the Bills. It was a blast. They are really such nice people. I like to call Josh "poop" because he was being one by pretending to be sleeping while I tried to get him to come eat dinner. Silly teens. I also enjoyed the company and the food and really loved the singing of "Happy Birthday." The Bills way to sing is very exciting because everybody picks their own tune and key. Mixed together it probably bugs the heck out of all the dogs on the block. I love it. I hope you enjoy the video! :)

MOM IS HERE!!!

Today went fast. I think I was excited for my mom to get in town. I am so glad she is here. We had dinner with some friends and it was fun. It is going to be a blast to have her here. I am excited to have her come to work with me tomorrow. The kids are going to love it.

Not much else. Just watching The Office. I am going to get back to that so I can finish before bed.
