Weekends go too fast!

Not much to say about the weekend. Saturday consisted of getting that yummy fruit and veggies from Bountiful Baskets and then staying in my PJs and watching football. Both things I loved!

Today I went to church and also went and hung with The Hageys. Derek was more excited then the picture portrays. I love hanging with them too.

Here is to this week being amazingly awesome!

Fabulous Friday!

Well, week one in 2011 has come and gone. Have you conquered your resolutions yet? I have been enjoying mine quite a lot. That whole do a fun thing everyday is soul food. Sometimes I feel like a spoiled rotten brat, but I really like that part of me!

Yesterday, the fun thing was going and hanging out with Shule. She used to work at our school before she had her baby. I love her baby. She is a cute little peanut. Jane, Janette and I had fun holding her and chatting with Shule. We also had some wonderful food from Burgers Supreme and a great desert.

I also wore that fabulous shirt that Janette got me for Christmas. Isn't it hilarious and fun? Makes me happy to wear it!

I cannot believe that the term will end this coming Friday. That means the school year is half way done! Amazing.

Practically Friday.

Man, take a day off of work because of stomach stress, and the week just flies by. I think it also flew by because I was actually doing fun things after work. I think that has been one great new years resolution.

Today, my fun thing was watching Mr. Bean. I used to watch that show every Saturday when I lived in the dorms at Utah State. Those were the days. If you are reading this and you are a college student, Cherish. Every. Moment. College was a luxurious dream state. Life was so easy back then. Anyway. Mr. Bean arrived on DVD in the mail today and I was very excited to watch while I pedaled the exercise bike. Too bad I got so distracted by laughing that I would stop pedaling and actually lost a bit of motivation while I "rested." Not too much of an intense workout today. Oh well.

Here are some good quotes from school today that totally made me happy:

1. One of my students always calls me "Joe." I always call her "Bob." It brings happiness to my soul!

2. Me: "Do any of you have Jim as a teacher?"

A student raises her hand

Me: "Oh you do have Jim as a teacher? Where is he having Parent-Teacher Conferences tonight?"
Student: "Oh, no I don't have Jim. I thought you asked if I had you for a gym teacher."

I thought that was funny because why would I have to ask her if I had her as a student...wouldn't I know? Funny.

So, today was much better than yesterday. I think Alice can get back to her normal self quickly. Maybe she wasn't that into that silly boy anyway!

"Mamma Said There'd Be Days Like This"!!!

Today was hard. I do not like days like today. Ever have a day where it just got worse even though you thought it couldn't get worse? Yeah that was today. It started out with a slip in the parking lot making me slam my knee into my car door. Then I dealt with the girls who made me real mad before break and they made me even more upset. Maybe I will tell you the story one day when it is not almost midnight. Oh and then I got an email from a man in Boston that made me a little disappointed. Basically, my hopes of a potential relationship went from hope to nil. I think it's silly to say "let's be friends" it just never works.

It was ok though guys because I made darn sure I did things that I love today.

First, I ran. Granted it was on the treadmill, which isn't my favorite, but sometimes running helps your heart! Ok. So it always helps your heart but in this way it helped mend a broken one! And I realize that was very cheesey.

Second, I took advantage of an invite up to Layton to play with the nephews and talk with their mother. They are all very good for my soul. And holding a one month old is just magical.

So. Off to bed I go now knowing that tomorrow HAS to be better. I must find my good attitude again!!!

Happy New Year!

Hi. So what is new? It is the time of resolutions. Do you have any? Please leave a comment and tell me about your resolutions. I promise to only steal a few of them for myself.

I, like most of the world, have a made a few resolutions. Here is my small list. I tried to keep it small because I think if you concentrate on a just a few things, you are more likely to be successful. Here they are:

1. Read the good word everyday. I plan on reading my scriptures daily. Okay so I have missed one day already but that doesn't mean I quit. I have learned that from my weight loss journey. I have also decided to give myself a dollar each day I do this. At the end of the year, I just might be able to get a new video game system.

2. Do something I love each and every day. I will blog about this so that you can also treasure these great things that I do. I will update you at the end of this blog. I may actually plan each activity and sometimes I will just realize I did something I love that day. It makes me be grateful for the many good things in my life. Life is good!!!

3. Watch a movie each week(at the theatre). This actually probably will be mixed into #2. It is something I love after all!

Okay so here is the update of the things I have done each day that I love:

Jan 1: I had a sleepover with my friend, Sarah. It was like we were in high school again! So fun. I also spent time with my friend, Alisha. She is amazing and funny!
Jan 2: I held baby Ezra. He makes me happy.
Jan 3: Went to see How Do You Know staring Reese Witherspoon. Great movie. I am falling in love with Paul Rudd btw. He's cute.
Jan 4: I invited the posse from Weight Watchers to go out to dinner after our meeting tonight. Marion, my leader, even went(she announced today that she will no longer do our Tuesday night meeting. This only means I will have to drive down to Payson each Wednesday for her meeting there!). It was a blast. Thanks guys!

So there you have it. You are officially updated on what I have done this week that I love to do.

Have a great day and know I think you are amazing!
