Things about Reuben!

Reuben sent me this from his phone today.
This is Reno, my future dog. Reuben's dog!

Well, today went fast.  I am glad. I am tired.  This will be short today.

8 Things You Should Know About Reuben:
1.  He is the nicest man I know.  I told him that today.  He truly puts me first and his theme for the last week or so has been: "I am here to make your life easy."  How did I get so lucky?
2.  He only has nine fingers.  He lost his pinkie while building his brother-in-law's cabin.  He has a great attitude about it.  Today he asked our friends who are helping with our invites if they could photoshop his pinkie back into the pics.  Funny.
3.  He is a great cook.  I used to joke around when co-workers had good lunches and would say their wife made it  and that I needed to get me one of those.  I am getting a great husband who loves to cook!
4.  He is a hard worker.  He works a lot and loves what he does.  He is a go getter and gets things done.
5.  He gets embarrassed sometimes because of things he thinks are funny.  I don't think any man ever grows out of ten year old humor!
6.  He is very easy going.  He rarely gets mad and appreciates other people's opinions.  We differ on many things, but he never lets that get him offended or makes me feel like I am wrong or stupid for thinking differently than him.  I love that!
7.  He takes out the trash.  All. The. Time.  He just does it.  I don't know why or how? But he does.  Sometimes when I am not paying attention he just sneaks and does it.  He's brilliant.
8.  He is handy as all get out.  He has fixed a window in my apartment(which will soon be his home too:) and recently got the swamp cooler up and running.  He also can work on cars and does yard work.

I truly am blessed because I get to marry this great guy in a little over a month, who has a million other great qualities.  He is perfect for me and so patient with my crazy ways.  Marrying him will make my life better!  This is an adventure that I look forward to living with him!

Marvelous Monday

I posted my 1,000th post earlier this week and didn't even know it.  I should have had some sort of party, don't you think?

Today was nice.  School went fast and the kids were in semi-comatose or good moods.  I like both of those options.  It is nice to move on from my STD unit into Nutrition in Health.  Much less debate and questioning!

The list of seven today is...
Alice's Top Seven Albums(In absolutely no particular order.  These are my favorites!):
1.  Kelly Clarkson's Stronger.  I am still amazed that Miss Clarkson is still getting better every album.  Okay, so I am not surprised but her stuff is so good.  It is like Thanksgiving dinner without all the guilt!  Get it if you haven't already!
2.  Adele.  Both of her Albums rock but I think 21 is just a hair better.  If you have not yet discovered Adele, where do you live, under a rock?
3.  Coldplay Mylo Xyloto.  This group is truly a group of music geniuses.
4.  Paramore All We Know Is Falling I love this band.  Seriously, they are amazing.  Fall in love with them; you won't be disappointed.
5.  Sheryl Crow 100 Miles from Memphis.  Sheryl Crow has always been brilliant but seriously this album is awesome.  My favorite song is the title song "100 Miles from Memphis."  Very catchy and jazzy.  This is a very smooth album.
6.  Taylor Swift Fearless.  Seriously, how old is this songwriter?  She is a genius.  Her album Speak Now ranks up there too!
7.  Jill and Kate Songs on the 17th.  These girls are very folksy and write their own stuff.  They are not so famous as mainstream artists but one day I think the world will realize how cool they are!  I discovered them through my obsession with Kelly Clarkson.  They are her backup singers.  Amazing.  I want their job.  If only I could sing!

I had some great wisdom to write on here, but my mind is blank after 11pm.

Until tomorrow friends!

I like Sundays but kinda hate the end of the weekend

Hi!

Nice day today.  Slept in.  Did some indexing(you should check out the address...it is way fun).  Went to church.  Washed dishes while Reuben fixed dinner.  Ate dinner quickly.  Went to the dedication of the Seminary building at my school. Hung out.  Tried to word my wedding invites.  Indexed more.  Now off to bed.

Here is the list for today:

Six People I LOVE to follow on Twitter(The format is silly but you can click on them and see what they are tweeting about!):

6.

My fiance thinks that by following Anderson Cooper I am a liberal.  So silly!

Good Day Sunshine

Spent the night on Friday at Reuben's Brother-In-Law's cabin.  It was nice to hang out with his BIL and Dad.  I am definitely marrying into a way cool family.  I also like the perk of having this cabin to enjoy!

This morning, Reuben and I went for a walk around the cabin neighborhood. It is so pretty up there.  We saw four mule deer.  Way cool.  Very nice day.

We stopped in Spanish Fork and took in a Roller Derby.  I really think I should be in a roller derby.  I just need to come up with a name!

We then went to Provo and had lunch.  It was Cinco De Mayo so we totally celebrated with Mexican food.  It was yummy.  I called it linner because I ate enough for both lunch and dinner.

Tonight, I went for a bike ride and fed the horses with Sharri again.  It was fun.  She is a one great lady and I feel lucky to both work with her and have her for a friend.  Reuben and I went shopping for our Sunday dinner and then got yogurt and attempted to watch a movie.  I fell asleep and Reuben was pretty tired so we decided to try later.

Today's list is The Top Five Reason's I get Up for Work:
1.  I get up because I really want to eat.  Sometimes I go to bed because I know I can get up and eat in the morning.
2.  Sleeping is for wusses.  Just kidding.  I have a responsibility to get myself to work.  I also like to eat and need money to eat.
3.  I LOVE my job.  I get to touch the future every single day!  It is awesome.
4.  I have amazing co-workers.  They make unbearable days bearable.  I not only have friends at work, but they are truly like my family.
5.  You never know what will happen at work.  The kids say funny things and sometimes can be crazy people.  Good thing I like crazy.

Here are some pics from the weekend so far:

View at night from cabin windows.
The horses.  I still need some clever names for them.
John Wayne is a theme at the cabin.  My dad would love this1
I love me some roller derby.
The kids LOVED my hair on Friday.  I don't know why!

May the 4th Be with You!

Happy Friday. I am writing from my fiancé's family's cabin. It is gorgeous where we are. I want to have a cabin one day. I will post pictures tomorrow.

Today went fast. I tortured my PE kids with the mile run and then tortured my Health students with a test. What a wicked teacher on a Friday!

I am still not getting any outside ideas about lists I should do for this, the month of posts. Where are my peeps when I need them? Maybe nobody is reading. Hmmm.

The list of four will be about the four things I cannot live without. I will not count Reuben because he is not a thing and it is cheesily apparent that I need him!!! :)

#1. My iPhone. It is sad that I am so attached to this thing. I communicate with family and friends, surf the interwebs, email, facebook, play games, listen to music, watch videos, read and write blogs and a plethora of other activities on this phone. It is like my third arm. I shouldn't love it so much, but I do.

#2. My DVR. Okay, soon I will probably be giving this up in order to grow up and save money, but for now it is one of my favorite things. I never watch commercials and I really think that enhances my existence. I am in charge of my tv needs. And hello, Sportscenter during breakfast gets me going in the morning.

#3 My running shoes. They make my feet happy while I punish the rest of my body for eating too many cookies and frozen deliciously delightful yogurt. I need a new pair and really wish I would have acted on Eastbay's clearance sale. Sad face!

#4. My softball glove. It had brought much happiness into my life over the years. My mother bought it for me for my birthday in the past few years. It is almost broken in. I sure will miss playing on the team back home this summer!

Well, I hope you had a fabulous Friday. If you didn't, you know whose fault it was!

Cheers!
