Two Days...

Today was one mad dash to get things done so I am more prepared to have mom here. I did laundry and went grocery shopping. Then I came home and cleaned my bedroom. I also decided to spider spray. I do not want my mom eaten by the silly spiders that think my house is their house. This is definitely not their house. Anyway, the new spray I used is horrid. It makes me cough and really just curse the spiders more, which is already a lot of cursing. I think I may be sleeping on the couch tonight, because the smell is still pretty strong in there. I should have gotten this done this past weekend but did I? No, because I am a major procrastinator. My favorite quote is: "Procrastinators Unite Tomorrow." Anyway, I will be glad when all the cleaning and preparing is done and I can just relax and enjoy my mother's company!

School has been good this week so far. I really like my students. I think I am back into a better place and attitude. For a while the wind was taken from under my wings!

Well, I don't have much else. Night.

Weekend of Movie Watching.

Happy March. Crazy that it is already March! By the way...I did not have gallstones. Back to not having a clue why I hurt sometimes. Whatev.

Friday, I took Janette to see Seven Pounds. I always take Janette to movies that she ends up hating because they make her cry. I really liked this movie. It was a good one. You had to use your brain to figure out what was happening. It also had Will Smith in it and I love him. I would suggest you see this movie.

Saturday, Janette and I went and saw He's Just Not That Into You. I liked the overall message of the movie because it taught me a lot. I think I am very similar to one of the characters because I always like guys who never actually like me back. In fact, the guys usually have no interest in me other than being a buddy. SIGH. Anyway it was good to learn that about myself and again be reminded of the fact that if a guy likes you he will make something happen. I spend way too much time on guys who do nothing because they feel nothing. SIGH again. The movie was a little steamy in parts and I thought that was a little much but welcome to 2009 and PG-13 movies, I guess.

Tonight, I watched Fever Pitch. I love that movie. This time of year it really makes me happy because it reminds me of the fact that baseball season is about to start. It also is a great romance movie. Perfect combo for this sports loving hopeless romantic.

Other than that, I haven't done too much this weekend. I did clean my front room and do a few dishes. I gotta get this place in order before my mom flies in on Thursday. I am way excited to have her here. I don't think I have been with her on my birthday in a lot of years. It will be fun.

Well, I best be getting to bed. Have a great night and an awesome Monday! (If having an awesome Monday is actually possible)

Addiction

True confession: I have an addiction to Cadbury Mini Eggs. I love them. I think it is a very good thing that they only come out once a year. Actually, if they were around all year long, would I still love them so much? I am on bag one. I am limiting myself to only two bags between now and Easter!

Life has been pretty non-exciting the past few days. I work. I work out. I go home. I watch TV. Time is flying by right now. I cannot believe that we are practically in March. That is crazy.

A week from today my mom flies into town. I am very excited for this. I don't have much of a big plan of activities for her but she will be coming to work with me next Friday. The students are pretty excited to meet her as is all of the staff at my school. Should be fun.

*Mom, we can still go to Red Robin, they have stuff besides burgers! WE do have a Red Lobster too! I haven't been there in a long time.

What else? I think that is it for now. Oh, I bet you want to know about other addictions too. Mafia Wars on Facebook as well as Street Racing on Facebook. I really have no life. Chocolate milk has been a staple lately.

Well, have a fab day. Secret: blogs can now be read at school. Ha, I do not know how or why but I like it!

Lent

I am not Catholic anymore but there is one of the Catholic traditions that I continue. I celebrate Lent. Each year I give up something for the 40 days before Easter. This year it is burgers, fries, and soda. Some people in my circle doubt that I can do this. They are so silly. Hello, I make it through every year!

I encourage all of you to give up something to show some sort of sacrifice in your life to celebrate the sacrifice Jesus made for each of us. It makes you a better person and stronger. I totally recommend it. I also recommend sleep. I will now go do that myself.

Seeing it was Fat Tuesday, I ate a burger, large fries, and Coke for dinner. 40 days will be a challenge but I am totally in!

Alive

Hi.

My mom and sister are hilarious. They were very worried about me when I did not call back fast enough and even were calling the hospitals in my area to see if I was in one of them. Funny...I am okay. I haven't gotten back my ultrasound results so I don't know anything. This is why I had not called. I guess I didn't have any news. Bad Alice for not calling back. Sorry mom!

Not much else on this end. It is official, basketball season is over for me. I am glad. It is weird though. It went fast. We lost our last game. Bummer.

Well, I better get to bed and sleep. It makes me less cranky. Weekends are not nearly long enough!
