Wicked Wednesday.

Wow. How did it get to be Wednesday already? The week is flying by. It has been busy. Monday Isaac, Erin and I tried to go bowling. We ended up just eating Baskin Robins. One of these days, I will actually not eat a single meal out! I then did laundry and grocery shopped. Unfortunately, I came back to find one of my tires flat. Luckily, I have a great friend, who is always awake late, and has great gadgets. Jane came an pumped said tire up. It had a nail in it. I am glad my mechanic is awesome. It was fixed yesterday.

Tuesday I cleaned my room. It had to be done so my mom has a nice place to sleep while she visits.

Today was weigh in day. All of the eating out made me gain two pounds, but I am still good!

Jane and I kicked off the week of Alice bring born celebrations. I believe all of us should celebrate our birthdays for a whole week. It is a pretty big thing to keep surviving this thing called life!!!

I found that spatula at Cracker Barrel. It made me smile.

Just reviewed Superfreakonomics @ Goodreads!

Read the review SuperFreakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes And Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life InsuranceSuperFreakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes And Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance by Steven D. Levitt

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is just as good as the first Freakonomics. I love how the authors can make sense of real world issue through economics. Who would think that I would actually have thought that quitting my job and becoming a prostitute would have its benefits. I also think the part about global cooling and there are many cheap options out there to fix the problems of global warming was fantastic. I have always been a skeptic of the idea of global warming and how we are doomed! Great read!

Sassy Sunday.

Today, I spent a lot of time preparing my lesson for Relief Society on Pride. Read it HERE. It is a great talk that really reminds us that we should spend a lot less time worrying about ourselves and offer our service to others. I enjoyed learning about this topic and the discussion in my class was very good.

After church, I headed up to Layton and hung with Morgan and Derek and the boys. You can read about their adventures HERE. We had dinner and played. I sure do love those little boys. I found some really cute Batman PJs for Spencer for only $3.50. What a smashing deal. Henry was a little sad that he did not get any. I felt bad but I also did buy him and Oliver some finger puppets. They liked them.

Now, it is time for bed and to say goodbye to another weekend. It went way too fast, but it was a very enjoyable few days!

Super Saturday

Aiden and I played a little UNO in the morning as well as Guitar Hero. It is kinda interesting to try to teach an 8 year old how to play Guitar Hero. He did get the hang of it and we eventually rocked Michael Jackson's Beat It!

I then took him to McDonald's for lunch. I had a Shamrock Shake. Not sure if it was worth the 11 Weight Watchers Point Plus Values, but it was okay and needed to be drank. I have to have at least one a day.

Later, I met up with my other Dad, Josh the other brother, and Isaac the brother-in-law at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple and was able to do some baptisms for the dead for some of my deceased ancestors. It really was a spiritual experience and I feel so honored to have done this work. To learn more about baptisms for the dead, click HERE. And another link about temples is HERE!

After being in the temple, we met up with Erin and Anne and had dinner at Su Casa and then ate yogurt at Frogurt. It was fabulous and I have been eating way to much lately.

Fries Friday.

Burger Friday at Red Robin was fabulous. The small fry who stayed at my house was  very entertaining. We watched a movie. Okay, Aiden watched a movie. I fell asleep! It was fun to have him! He loved sleeping in my tent in my front room. Yay for sleepovers!
