Oh weekend how I love thee.

Well. I made it to Saturday. Some parts of the week seemed too long while others flew.

I had a pretty good week with my leadership class this week. We have started a blog so we can keep in touch this summer and I am way excited for it. Our theme right now is creating a manifesto. You should read Morgan's thoughts on manifestos HERE. I am also thinking about copying Morgan too, so look for Alice's Manifesto in the future!

We also took pictures of us in graduation gowns for our blog. Here is what I look like as a grad from Independence High:

Last night I came up to Sandy to hang with Josh(little brother from another mother). We had big plans to go frisbee golfing but the weather did not like us. So we went to dinner and then tried to go to a movie. Apparently, we were not supposed to do that either because it was sold out. So we decided to shop for a vacuum. Josh is very helpful when it comes to this as demonstrated in the following photos:

From the looks of that second one I almost wish I had picked that one. It will make me extremely happy to have a vacuum that actually sucks!

Another thing that makes me extremely happy is when I can peel an orange peel in one piece. So happy, I have to take pictures to commemorate it.

Who needs a royal wedding for entertainment when you have skills like this?

My life...

How exactly does one get away from their inner self?

Hello spring. You make me happy!

11:29. Not sleeping. Bad. Very bad!!!

4/26/11

Why?

Why can I not get to bed before 11pm every night? I am crazy!

The end.

Monday Monday

Today flew. I like it. I was a busy bee today. Worked. Visited and was vomitted on by a friend's baby. Was fed a great meal by Erin. Then went and hung out with my church peeps at Family Home Evening. It was nice.

Did I mention I started a new grateful board yesterday? I did. It makes a difference in life!

Here are two awesome pictures of Levi loving him some lime Popsicles.

What kid likes lime? This kid!

He is just chillin'. That is how he rolls. I love how Erin is laughing. So cute!

I am up much too late yet again!
I saw a rainbow today. Isn't life grand?

Good Weekend.

Had a fun weekend. From bridal showers to dates to family dinners, all was good.

Here are a few pics from the weekend:

Ezra likes Bridal Showers.

Sculpture at the Museum of Art at BYU. If you are in the Provo area you should check out the Carl Block exhibit before May 7th. It was amazing.

This one by Block is my favorite.

Cutest little Burrito Baby.

I may like this baby just a wee bit!

Oliver sports some awesome hair and Josh is silly.

Henry is silly too. He thought it was funny to ride on my leg.

My favorite shirt today. Easter appropriate yet not.

I hope you all had the chance to reflect on the true meaning of Easter. I am grateful for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and how he gave mankind the power over the grave. This life is not it. We will live again and be able to be with our loved ones and with our God and Savior. I am so glad I know this truth.

Happy Easter and goodnight.

Ya know...Friday.

The birds chirping and the light coming out early helps so much with me getting up and facing the world. These tulips near the end of the road also makes a difference for me!

There are only 23 school days left but who's counting! That also keeps me going!

Hope your day was good. It is Friday , afterall!

4/21/11

Silly kids.

Highlight of the day:
Me: "Alright, in about five minutes we will be playing jeopardy to review for our test so get your jeopardy brains ready!"
Student: (after raising his hand) "Can I go to my locker? I left my jeopardy brain there!"

Hilarious.

My fortune today was depressing. It said I would inherit some unexpected money in the next year. The only way you inherit money is if a family member dies. I don't like the idea of that! So I didn't even take a pic of it.

Here is a quote I did like today;

Bring on the spring.

Well off to sleep!

Remembering.

I found this picture on my blog from march of 2008. I had looked back because one of the aides that works with me during one of my PE classes couldn't imagine me with a little more padding. So I pulled this up for her:

Sharri is with me in the picture. When I showed it to her she said: "Man, we were fat!"

I decided we should take a similar picture with what we look like today. Here it is:

Just a bit of a difference, eh? I needed to see this today because I have been self loathing this week because I have been a few pounds heavier thanks to my partying on break. Luckily, I only have gained a pound since my last weigh in.

Here is my fortune today:

It made me laugh because dessert has gotten me in trouble lately. I did have some frozen yogurt with fruit in top of it. It was good and I felt good about not putting candy on it!

So 1/3 of the fortunes have come true so far!

Cheers!

It's midnight. I should be sleeping.

Well, short post tonight. I had a great time with two of my roommates from long ago at Utah State. It was fun to catch up with Liz and Amy.

Here is today's fortune:

I hope this means all the work I have done...oh wait...I haven't worked hard lately. What is up with these things?

Please Excuse some of the content of this post.

Today was hard. I did not sleep enough thanks to getting back late last night and going back to work after a week of bliss is always a challenge. I have decided that I will post a picture of my fortune from my fortune cookie that I will enjoy at lunch each day for the next while. I bought a whole bag of them at the fortune cookie factory in San Fran. So here is today's fortune:

I listened all day and didn't get any needed information. Maybe tomorrow. Here are two funny things I said in class to help my students remember certain things about reproduction. They listened intently. (This is the part you can choose to ignore. Some people are soft when it comes to talking about this stuff. I find it highly entertaining.)

I told them that the uterus is kinda like a fancy hotel for the fetus. It is made up all nice and comfortably with tissue and nourishment. Just like luxury hotels are comfy and nice.

I also told them that the epididymis is like college for sperm. In fact, we could call it Epididymis University or EU. This is where the sperm grow up and learn how to be adult sperm. Say epididymis university a few times. We decided in my 7th hour that it actually sounds like a legit university. I know...you are in awe of my brilliance. Or maybe you are just scared of it. Either way, I hope this made you smile a bit!!!

Cheers. Only 27 school days left. But who is counting!

I miss the beach.

All safe in Provo, UT again. I don't have to be happy about it though, right?

Here are the last few wonderful beach pics:

Last sunset.

Packing up.

Sad to leave.

One last pastry

Next time I will bring somebody to kiss at the bakery and take advantage of this!

Driving home

About to sleep. Here is to this week being good!

Janette's Birthday.

It would have been my last day on the beach but Jane and I decided to stay one more day.

We celebrated Janette's birthday in style. We snuck out and bought a cake from Gayle's Bakery. It is an amazing bakery. I think I mentioned earlier that it is also evil. The cake was amazing. I ran on the beach in the afternoon. It was a perfect day for it. So pretty. Jane and I enjoyed the last bonfire with s'mores.

We surprised Janette. (trick candles and all!) The cake was fabulous and I hope Janette enjoyed her birthday as much as I did surprising her!!!

Great Day!

Thursday was filled with relaxing at the beach house. We all enjoyed having a day where we didn't have to go anywhere. It was glorious. I flew my new kite that I bought in San Francisco. I felt like a kid again and the weather was gorgeous! Great beach day!
