Week. End.

Time is flying. I am okay with that seeing it is the tail end of the school year.

This weekend was pretty full. Friday was a Bills family birthday. Saturday was a sleep in kind of a day. The bathroom got cleaned and Reuben and I played tennis and ate at Red Ronin followed by a movie.

Today was about church and then dinner with the Bills. I like them. Josh, Reuben and I played family feud on the iPad. That is my kind of a party.

20 days left of school. But who's counting? This kid!

Here are some pics from hanging with the boys. I've been missing them lately. I also made that cool plastic guy. And the bumper sticker was seen on the way home from work. I agree. Real men do love Jesus!

Tired. Let me sleep.

Here are some pics from the engagement photo extravaganza from Saturday(just a little bit of a teaser.  I need to figure out which ones to actually use on the invites):
Having Fun Taking Pictures

It was exhausting!
I am starting to be very excited for the end of school.  This week is going fast yet is also seeming to drag.  I keep thinking it is later in the week when really it is only Tuesday.  Boo.

Not a whole lot happening.  Played some softball with some church peeps tonight.  It was fun.  I miss playing.

I also went to Weight Watchers.  It was fun.  I also wrote on the weight loss blog. I guess I was inspired!  Click HERE to read!

Thank heavens for the weekend.

It has been a long week. The end of which was a little bit more rough than the rest. I am tired and would love to go back to sleep but have lots to do today with grades due on Monday, a lesson to teach in church, a bridal shower for work in the afternoon and engagement pictures in the evening. Just writing that made me lose my breathe a little.

Getting to know a future spouse is mostly awesome but sometimes you get into little ruts. That is why Thursday and last night were a bit rough. It is good to talk things through when there are issues but it sure is exhausting. Thank heavens I am marrying a man who is willing to talk and not just ignore conflict and hope it goes away because is reality these conflicts will only fester and get larger.

I think that is enough about that. Work has been fun lately. I am very glad that my students love to talk about diseases and snot. They also love to try to make crazy hands on activities work. I think I need to do a bit better at making the activities run smoothly. I think that is an area in which I can become a better teacher.

I also got evaluated by my new vice principal this Thursday. I have always dreaded these observations, in the past, but this time around it was non-stressing. I think the difference was because I have a very good relationship with this VP and we seem to have similar teaching philosophies. In the past, I would get low scores making me feel like an inadequate teacher but this go around I got only 3s and 4s out of a four point scale. That validated me and helped me feel good about my teaching and job. I'm sure I have never been bad but when your evaluations show only 1s and 2s, you worry. I get the room for improvement factors, but really? Sure I have things and areas to improve but I am a good teacher!

Okay, enough tooting my own horn. Off to get some grading done. I hope your weekend is filled with laughter and fun moments. Remember that happiness is a choice and life is about finding joy!!!

I find joy in feeding horses carrots and bike riding. That was a great way to end the workweek yesterday! And spending time with good people is a nice thing too!!!

Today Rocked.

It's late. One day I will get enough sleep.

Best thing about today: going to the temple with Reuben followed by wingers.

2nd best thing: being silly with another teacher at faculty meeting. I don't typically like meetings but this one was majorly positive. Some great changes will happen at my school next year!!

3rd best thing that happened today: picking out fabric with Denise(she's making my wedding dress.). We also had a great talk about life and work!

4th best thing that happened today: singing a conversation with a colleague in the hallway.

5th best thing that happened today: getting to sleep.

Good night to ya. (these pics are from today, except the ones of little boys on a trampoline. That was Sunday. Ez's hair was crazy and it is fun to watch the littlest ones jump!)

Viva Las Vegas

This is the post with all the fun Vegas happenings. I hope you enjoy!

That is a lot of pictures. I will go through and write about them in order:
1. New York, New York: It makes me feel like I went there, almost!
2. Windmill at Bellagio. I love the garden there. I think I could live at the Bellagio
3. Kari in our room at the Luxor. The windows are actually part of the pyramid outside. It's angular and cool.
4. Toes at the pool. We spent quite a bit of time just being at the pool. That is my kind of vacation.
5. The strip at night.
6. Alyssa and Rylan. It was so nice to catch up with Alyssa again and to see her cute little family!
7. View of the Sphynx from our window.
8. Me wasting another dollar.
9. Ice cream lunch: This was part of the day where we used a flip of a coin to make our decisions.
10. Garden at Bellagio
11. Kari with a Thunder from Down Under. She was silly and was offered a necklace while in the Excalibur and took it not realizing the next step was for that gorgeous young man to then pose for pics with her. She wanted us to join but I had been there and done that! :) Very funny.
12. Lesley and I at Cheesecake Factory. Great appetizers for dinner. Fried macoroni and cheese balls, boneless wings, sliders, and spinach dip and chips. I think the company was more delicious. I loved catching up with Lesley. She is one of those friends who never changes and it is like you were never apart.
13. Raising Canes. Delicious.
14. Kari with glass at Bellagio
15. Bobble heads at sport bar in NY, NY
16. Me punching bobble head.
17. The fountains at Bellagio. I wish I had one in my front yard!

From the pics you wouldn't know that I also vacationed with Jane and Janette. Kari and I were the lazy vacationers and didn't rush and go and do much. J and J on the other hand did. We did see KA by Cirque de Solei and it was phenominal. Too bad you can't take pics there. It was amazing. Driving was also fun. When you have good company, road trips rock. We stopped at a whole in the wall in Beaver on the way to Vegas and the french toast is yummy. I like those kind of places. It was like walking into the show "Alice." It was very 70s. What else? I think that is it. It was a fun trip. Vacations go too quickly. Good thing there is only about six weeks left until the lovely summer vacation!

Weekend

I have been sick for the weekend. Yesterday, all I did was lounge around in my pajamas. I haven't changed clothes in about 36 hours. I will have to change that in the next hour or so, seeing I will head to Las Vegas with some friends from school. I am still not 100% but I'm getting there. Colds are not my favorite.

Friday, Reuben and I met up with Morgan's family to celebrate Oliver's third birthday. Man, these kids are growing like weeds. It was a blast.

Saturday, Reuben and I went to Thanksgiving Pointe and had a picnic and then watched a movie. It was nice. Of course, anything with Reuben is nice.

Here are some pics and then I gotta go get ready for the party in Vegas!
