Random Pics

Pics from a bike ride one evening. I actually saw three fawns and two does even though you only see two fawns and one doe in the picture. The sunset was phenominal Thursday. That is my favorite bench. The turkeys(it is like a Where's Waldo? Find them) were seen on the way back from dropping the niece and nephew off half way on Friday.

Life.

Elijah and I are doing a lot of schooling this week. He spends about four hours a day in front of the computer. I sit next to him mainly for moral support. On occasion he needs help to organize what he has to do and where to find information. I do a lot of cruising the internet. Yesterday, I looked at houses for a few hours. I think I am going to start saving some money to put a down payment down one of these days. That is crazy, no? That means I would have to admit that I am settling down in Utah. Boo! :)

The picture from Wausau Mine Co. just made me laugh. Do I mention much about Brett Farve every year? Yep, he's and idiot still...just wanted to put that out there. I am glad I will be five rows from the field on the 14th to see Aaron Rodgers. He is much cuter than Brett and actually, last year had a better year. He doesn't get much press for it because of the shadow he is under. One day that shadow will go away!

Enough about that.

We had to dissect a flower yesterday and find a bunch of seeds. The past few days we did an experiment about yeast growth and I thought the bottles looked pretty with the different balloons. Science is life around here lately!

Wednesdays have always been taco night at Pat's Tavern for our family. Last night was no different. It was yummy!

We won our softball game on Tuesday. It had been three weeks since we last played thanks to the rain. It was nice to get out even though it was so humid my clothes felt as if I had showered in them! The next two weeks we have double headers. Crazy to think that the day after the last games I will hop onto a plane back to Salt Lake. Summer is going much too fast!

Demo Derby

That is a picture of Elijah and how excited he was to go to the demolition derby with me in Antigo yesterday. Just kidding. He was excited but it did get a little long for him. That really is a picture of him prior to doing an experiement about handwashing and the benefits of soap. Thrilling.

The demo derby was amazing. I will have to post the video of a car totally going over another car sometime. I don't know how to do that from the iPhone yet. It was a blast to be there. I also sat next to a very friendly man. I am sure if I had different moral values I would have had an invite for the night. I am glad that I have standards. He was interesting though and knew lots about the demo derby. I guess he has driven in over nine of them. It could have explained why he was a little different and slower...whiplash can do that to a brain, I hear.

Today, I made pizza with some of the fabulous flaxseed pizza dough we brought at Gunkle's. It is amazing and very low point for the whole Weight Watchers thing. I LOVE it. I have been enjoying those baked goods! Their bagels are amazing as well! That pizza was divine. I think I could run a pizza business. Yum, yum and yum. I bet you wish you were my family so you could have had dinner with me tonight!

The other pics are of Ty(friend, Kim's, son) at the derby. I loved his green earplugs. The other is me and my newest dress. Dang...I am looking fine! :)

More Biology tutoring in the morning. I better get some rest!

Friday Fun Pics.

I learned about this awesome bakery that is about 45 minutes from my parents house from my Weight Watchers leader. So today my mom got off early from work and we drove to Antigo. We were so excited to find this bread that is made from flax seed, which is very low calorie and low fat that we bought a whole bunch. In fact, we got to the car and had some of their bagels and decided they were so good that we needed two more bags of them. It is like heaven! I really didn't know baked goods could make me so excited. Okay...so I knew they could because those pastries in Scotland were kick butt. But this is awesome because they are so yummy and yet so good for me too! A true win-win. The place is called Gunkle's. Check out their website. They ship to the continental U.S. so if you are interested...I think it would be totally worth it!

I also thought that really big buck was cool. Only in Wisconsin! :)

Oh and if you ever wondered where to park your ice cream, I found it!

My stomach is so stuffed right now with cheeseburger and fries that I think I could burst. It was so yummy. I am so lucky to be home and spoiled!

Pics from last few days.

Been having fun back in Rhinelander the past few days. Basically, it is a lot of prodding the nephew to get his Biology work done. I think I am going to need a vacation from this part of my vacation. Yesterday, I took a nice bike ride in the afternoon. I was out in the woods for a while, until the bugs got to me. On the way out, I saw those cool bones. I think it was a whitetailed deer. Of course, becuase I watch a lot of Bones, I thought I had discovered a murder scene at first. Silly television. I then went down by the river at Hodag Park and saw a very pretty sailed boat. (I am sure that is the technical name for it too!) Today, I went with my mom downtown for an art festival. We didn't see much of it because we got stuck in the awesome store Lattitudes. That is where that fabulous hat came from. I LOVE it! Tonight, I fell asleep watching Bones. I lead a pretty exciting life, no?
