I am in Love...
My sister from another mother, Morgan, had her baby yesterday. His name is Ezra and I am totally in love with him. Morgan trusted me enough to take care of her other three kidlets while she was in labor and because I love those three midgets, I gladly took over kid duties yesterday. I got the call a little before seven that Morgan was in labor so I got ready and headed up to Layton(a good hour and twenty minute drive). When I got there, the boys were watching TV and Morgan was doing her thing downstairs. I still want to have kids but man, I am not looking forward to birthing. It sounded like it hurts A LOT!!!
But that cute little peanut makes the process so amazing. Morgan is amazing and I truly look up to her even if she is younger than me. It was such an honor not only to take care of the boys for her, but to be one of the first people to meet Ezra. He was even still slippery as I put him into the blanket that the midwife weighed him in. (He was that NEW!)
I am so interested in the process and don't judge me but I totally want to have my babies at home when I have them! Midwives are awesome and really know their stuff. Kim taught me a lot. I even got to see the placenta. Most people are weirded out by it but I was so interested and took pictures to show my health classes. I am such a nerd when it comes to that stuff. I am sure I shouldn't blog about this because some of you will get weirded out but seriously....all of this is part of a natural process that is so amazing and miraculous. I really don't have the words to describe how very cool it all was to be there that day!
I took the day off of work today because I was so tired last night. I have a lot of respect for women who stay home with their babies. Man...taking care of three boys five and under was a lot of work. I am a pansy. I am sure you get used to it when you are the parent but really I have so much respect for parents. The boys were really good, but there were moments where I asked myself: "What would I do if these were my babies?" I sure love those boys though. They made me laugh so hard at lunch when they were being "ninjas." Spencer and Henry just randomly put their shirts over their heads and I looked up from my jelly sandwich and saw them like in the picture. So funny. They watched a lot of cartoons and Oliver and I played and played. They were so cute when they met their brother. So much fun.
It was nice to just chill today. I actually went for a run and it was fabulous. I couldn't believe that it is December and I was hot in running pants and a long sleeve shirt. I love the spring like weather that sometimes comes here in Utah!
Well, better get some sleep for my return back to work!
Cheers.

The Blogging Slacker Apologizes.
Hi kids. How is December treating you so far? If you are like me then December is sometimes a bad word because it means cold and winter. But this year, I have decided to again use my superpower of positivity to make December a good month. Here are a few of the things that I have already done to be happy in December:
1. I got a Christmas tree. I have talked myself out of buying a fake one like a thousand times and found a solution to the whole having to store a silly fake one. I went with the other family into the woods near Manila and got a real Blue Spruce. Thank you nature!
2. I bought new LED lights for said tree. I love to sit watching TV with just the LEDs for mood lighting. Love it.
3. I also decorated the tree with old and new ornaments.
4. I did donuts after a new snow. Sometimes a fresh snow in an empty parking lot calls for lots of circles while in a car!
5. I watch movies all. the. time. Have I mentioned my awesome new TV. It helps make December and life bearable!
6. I listen to Kelly Clarkson's album "My December". It isn't festive and I have no clue what it has to do with December in general, but it seems appropriate.
7. I tune into 24 hour Christmas music while out and about. It helps get me to work in a good mood most days!
8. I just bought snowpants. It will make it easy to go out in the snow and enjoy it.
9. I bought snowshoes. A friend and I have plans to go on snowshoe adventures every week. It will be fun to the the mountains in winter!
10. I can't really think of another deliberate thing I am doing to make winter easier, but it feels like there should be ten!
Hope you day is spamtastic. I am waiting to meet the newest nephew while watching the three others. Little excited and good thoughts and vibes to Morgan right now! (update. Baby is here!)

Thankfulness all around.

Happy Thanksgiving plus a few days. I am so blessed in my life. I could list all of the ways I am blessed, but it would be much too long of a list. These pictures illustrate a few of the things I am thankful for in my life.
Babies all around. Have I mentioned that I am so thankful my friends keep me in babies for my need to have baby time? I am.
My new air popcorn popper is awesome. It was awesome the other night to watch Avatar on the new TV and have flavored popcorn!
Levi did not like his turkey thanksgiving hat but he faked it just for your viewing pleasure. Oliver LOVED smearing his pie all around. That kid is seriously one of my favorites these days. He had me hopping around with a stuffed frog much of the time at Sarah's house on Friday. I also had to humor him for the last 45 minutes of our drive back to Morgan's and Derek's yesterday. He thought it was hilarious to "eat" my hand and have me catch his feet. Silly kid. I love my hat and Spencer thought that it needed to be tied and that we needed to take a silly picture at breakfast in Manila Saturday. It was nice to just hang out, eat and we went out in the fun snow to get Christmas trees. Josh is a master hunter and "delivered" as he said because of his fancy Pizza Hut hat! He also had fun being silly on the treadmill. I got to drive from Salt Lake to Layton with him a few times this past week. It is nice to have a little brother now seeing I never had one before. I like my adopted family.
Thanksgiving has been a great time. I love vacation and spending time with fun people!
Hope all your celebrations were fantastic!
(This should have been posted on Saturday but my silly iPhone was being silly.)

The Week Ends!
Good week all in all. Today is a different day. A little disturbed that my car has a gas lead and it will cost about three hundred clams to fix. I guess I am still thankful for the beast and a great mechanic who opened on a saturday to fix it and that it can be fixed. Just a bummer. Guess it happens to people who claim to be spoiled brats, which I am.
The sunsets around here have been fabulously beautiful this past week. I really am still loving this time of year. Even if the snow comes this week, I will still like it. I have been amazed how a positive attitude about life makes it so much easier! Is it normal not to have snow before Thanksgiving? I can't even remember.
I loved meeting, Sylvia, Julianne's new baby. She is a cutie with a built in personality already! I love that my friends keep having babies for my entertainment. Thanks guys! :)
School is going well. I am really liking those little crazies these days. I think they help me keep a good outlook with their energy. I also feel having a good attitude toward them helps me to have a good outlook and energy. The year is just moving along so quickly...CRAZY!
This weekend should be pretty low key. Went out to burgers with friends last night, isn't that the cutest little burger ever? I actually found out you can get any of their burgers in "petite" size! It is a glorious discovery! Cleaning this morning and then writing some this afternoon. The car is getting fixed right now. Tomorrow church, Packers football and dinner with friends. Life is good even with the blips! Hope all is going well for all of you! :)
