School's Out For Summer!

Well, I made it through one of the hardest years if school! It has felt like an emotional roller coaster since the announcement of the cutbacks back in January! It still seems like we are back in march to be honest! So cleaning out my office just seemed premature!

I had a good lunch to celebrate my friend, Moo's, birthday. It was yummy.

Then I flew to Las Vegas. It is always nice to hang out with Morgan and Derek. I have a blast just playing with their boys and chillin'.

Stay tuned for lots of pictures! I am way tired. Sleep will be very nice and very soon!

Graduation!

Yesterday was graduation. This is seriously one of my favorite nights of the year. To see my students receive their diploma, often brings tears to my eyes because I am so very proud of them. What a great achievement for many of these students!

One of the graduates was in my Leadership class and actually graduated a year early...that made me feel even more proud. I saw her grow up so much in the past three years and what an accomplishment for this young lady(she is pointing in one of the pics!). Graduation truly makes all the day to day stuff worthwhile! Good night!

Today is yearbook signing. Two hours of sitting in the cafeteria just chilling with kids. Then cleaning my office will be in order! We will also have a staff BBQ this afternoon which will be awesome!

Have a great day!

Human Foosball and Guitar Heros

Today went incredibly fast. It was the last real day with kids. Crazy. It was fun. I made two of my PE classes play Human Foosball. It is just like the game, but you "attach" yourself to a few of your teammates via pvc pipe! Fun to watch. I think some of the kids hate it because it is new and hard for them. SIGH.

My girls PE was lucky enough to go and play the Wii that the History teacher had brought in for the day. Some liked it, and some did not. Again, you cannot please everybody!

I played Guitar Hero this afternoon for quite a while because I didn't want to face cleaning my office just yet. It was fun to play with Kristi, Heidi, and Jane! I think we will be playing a little more tomorrow afternoon. Yipee!

I also did laundry which is always a thrill a min!

Well, off to sleep.

Memorial Day!

Today I went to the Provo City Cemetery for the Memorial Day service at ten this morning. It was awesome as always. It is always fun to see our students from the JROTC program do the 21 gun salute. I am always so proud of them! I also like to be reminded of all the men and women who have given so much for my freedom and our country. We owe them a lot!

What else? I went frisbee golfing again. It was a little more of a challenge today because there were a gagillion people at the park where I go because of the BBQ factor of Memorial Day! It still was fun.

Then I rented The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which was a very good movie. Kinda serious but very good.

I haven't done much else. Just hung out and relaxed! I love a good three day weekend. I also love that I only have two days with kids. It is going to rock!

Well, hope you all had a great Memorial Day! Cheers!
