Quite Frequently!

These pictures were not taken at 11pm. I think I look better in them
than the ones from yesterday. You also get to see a piece of my life
because that is what I look like while being on my computer at
school.(I may not make those faces very frequently but you get the
idea).

Good day. Fast day. Only two more days until the last weekend before
break! Yipee.

I played racquetball today. I wish I would have been able to video
it. It is very humorous when I play. I run into the walls quite
frequently.

I went to the library tonight. I got seven books. Hopefully, one of
them will be worthy of reading.

No broken bones at school today. Good thing!

6 days 14 hours 51 mins till the home flying.

Words of the day: frequently, quite.

Pictures at 11 pm are not flattering!

I shouldn't be up at 11pm. You would think that I would have figured
that out by now, but I just am not getting wise in my old age. And
really, I should take pictures of myself much earlier in the day. So
not wise. Oh well.

Well, today was eventful at school. One of my sweet students hurt
himself in the weight room. He put his finger where it wasn't
supposed to be and it got crushed by the machine. I felt pretty bad
for him and myself really because I had to clean up all the blood and
use my mad first aid skills. I totally only thought of his finger
being sliced and just stopping the blood, so I had him apply pressure
to the finger and keep his had over his heart. Later on, I found out
that he had actually broken the finger. Then it clicked in my head
why he kept complaining that it hurt so bad when he applied pressure.
I felt pretty stupid and bad for him. Dang it, Alice! Oh well,
again.

I went to the boys basketball game for our school tonight. They won
41-27. Good game. I like getting to see the kids other than in
school.

Not much else going on here. 7 days 15 hours and 4 min until I fly
home. Yipee.

Sleep well so you don't get those black marks under your eyes like me!
Until later!

Christmas untraditions!

Happy Monday. Today flew by; seems to be a tradition in my life lately. It was a good day. I give it five stars (sorry about the star reference. In my mp3 player you can rate songs and then listen to your highly starred music. Five is the best a song can get).

I almost was unable to load my pictures onto the site today. That would have been a tragedy. (Btw: I am trying to get tragedy into the vocabulary of one of the two-year-olds in my life, I think all kids that age should know and use that word). I finally figured I could email my post, which has proven to be so very handy. I suggest blogger to anybody who wants to make an impact in the world. Even if that impact is only to be a time filler for people who are bored at work. You all know who you are!

I thought I would write about a few of the untraditions in my life these days. Okay, so I guess if I am doing things they really aren't untraditions. In fact, they could even become traditions if I am not careful. Actually, I may only have one untradition to talk about and it is the tradition of making gingerbread houses. I have helped make two of them in the past three days. I have never made a gingerbread house in my life up to this point. See, thirty years of untradition. I thought that the house I made today was definitely blog worthy. I like to call it my gingerbread trailer. I find it appalling that only nice homes are used as models for most gingerbread creations. I like that mine looks more like something out of the trailer park. Now, don't get me wrong I am not passing judgment on people who actually live in such parks. I am just saying most people don't grow up and say: “Man, I am looking forward to the time when I can move into the trailer park.” I think that when we are taking part in some of our "traditions" we should really step back and think to ourselves just how crazy these traditions can me. I would like to have been around when somebody was bored enough around the holidays to decide to make a house or winter scene out of edible delights. Maybe it is because they did not have DVR like I do and didn't have so much TV to catch up on. I think that is about all I will write about gingerbread houses. I may not be very good at making them, but I can appreciate other people making them. My family never got together and created these. We probably were too busy watching A Charlie Brown Christmas or something.

Maybe one day I will write all about my real traditions. I am too tired to do so now and must go watch Journeyman.
Later Dudes!

Is the weekend really over already?

Sunday night: I am not ready for the weekend to be over. When you get a taste of something good, it is hard to let it go so easily. I guess I should look at it differently and remember that I only have to wake up early eight more times before I get a week of sleeping in.

Today was good. Not much excitement. Woke up late, got ready for church(it took about five outfits before I just gave up), went to church, ate dinner, cleaned off my table, transferred some music to my mp3 player, talked on the phone, played games with some friends, then came home and blogged. Pretty much you are now up to date. Must go to bed now in order to not be crabby tomorrow.

Cheers.

Saturday IS a Special Day!

I have been having a lot of fun with my photos lately, haven't I? This one was fun to create and then later on when I was watching Ellen it was almost related to something she was talking about that really gets me steamed. Ellen was talking about Hollywood's view of women and how most models are a size 0, and how the sample sizes of dresses are size 2, and how all the mannequins in stores are about 6 foot all and would weight about 100 lbs. She went on to say how all of these things should not be happening and that women should not be expected to be able to fit into these sizes and stereotypes. I happen to agree with this completely and totally, not only because I will never be anything less that a size 16 but that Hollywood really does have a huge negative impact on young girls' self images. I really wish we could change all of this but until we convince ourselves that a size two is not what attractive is, we will have problems.

Now you are asking: How does that subject relate to a picture of Alice with drawn on facial hair? Well, Ellen was also talking about even the pictures of celebrities in magazines are not real because they are airbrushed. That picture is what I would look like with some nice airbrushing. I would not want to be skinny or better looking. I would want fake facial hair. Hehe.

Have I ever mentioned that I like Saturdays? I also like Saturdays that are laid back and unstressful. Today was one of those Saturdays. I was just able to kinda do whatever I felt like. The only thing I really "had" to do was laundry. Not too hard of a thing to get done but it is still a pain. I hate doing laundry. I went to the Laundromat because I hate having to do more than one load in the one washer and dryer that are in my place. I took that picture from the mat.

After laundry, I exercised then got ready for the day. Then, one of my friends and I went bowling and then to Red Robin for dinner.

Tonight, I did a lot more of nothing until my friend with a two-year-old called me for assistance at the grocery store. She said she just couldn't do the shopping without going crazy with said two-year-old. I went along for moral support and to keep the kid busy and behaving, but mostly distracted(I am good at that!). She then invited me over to build a gingerbread house. That in and of itself would have been an adventure, but with a two-year-old it was highly entertaining. Kids can be so random and funny. I like having friends with kids: it is fun.

Well, that is about up to date with me. Sleep well!
