"Did I make the blog?"

This is my awesome friend Elizabeth and I. She is quite a spectacular lady and a fabulous mother. She is hilarious. Every time I am with her it is an adventure. Even at Red Robin she had me laughing so much in the short time we had together. I am so glad to still be in touch with her and to be able to see her every once in a while (even if she didn't have a cool glass to drink her drink out of at Red Robin).

I am in Salt Lake City tonight because I fly out tomorrow morning. Crazy and cool all at the same time. It is weird and I don't know how to explain it but it feels different to be leaving right now. I think the past few weeks have just been weird and this is just a part of it. Huh. Anyway, I am excited to go home and see people. I like my family and I have great friends back home, too. I worry I will be too bored though. I am definitely going to have to keep myself plenty busy. I do plan on fishing everyday. I think that may be what my gift card may go for. Gear and license will be about a hundred dollars I am thinking. I just want to relax I think. It will be nice.

Not much else going on here. Just waiting for the morning, I guess.

Memory Lane

Graduation seems like it was a long time ago already. I just finally rescued my pictures from my camera. My dumb Mac started to give me issues because it hates me. Anyway. Here are some pics from graduation. The two students are my favorites, but don't tell any of my other favorites. One is Jake. He was the only kid ever, in the history of me teaching, to be able to call me Al. He'd come in everyday and say: "What's up, Al?" It made me smile. The other student is David. He was just so positive all the time and had a great dry sense of humor like me. He made Boys' PE bearable. He is in England right now and I am jealous. The other pics are of cool people I worked with this year. They are nice people. I bet you wish you knew them. Unless, of course, you do know them, then you probably don't wish that. I mean you are glad about it but you already know them. Whatever. Anyway. There is a little trip down memory lane.

Hiking the Y

I went hiking at 9 this morning. It was awesome. I didn't think it was that far to the big 'Y' on the mountain here in Provo, but it was. I liked the hike though. As you can tell by the pictures, we had a lot of fun and it was a nice day!

I also got to go to lunch with my friend, Elizabeth. She is real cool and loves to read my blog. She really wanted to get on the blog and kept saying "Is that going to be on the blog?" So, you made it Liz! I will put a picture of us on tomorrow, seeing I can't get my camera to connect to this computer. Have I mentioned that I hate Macs? Anyway, it was real nice to catch up with Elizabeth because she is so cool. I am so lucky to have so many cool friends in my life! We reminisced about how we used to steal things from each other. It started with Elizabeth stealing all my underwear, then I stole all her food. College times sure were good times! We went to Ricks together.

Well, it is late and I need to sleep. I will write more later. I did also get to go up to Sandy and watch a movie with Janette. It was nice to see her one last time before I leave. I hope she will come visit in Wisconsin!

Fabulous Funerals and Wonderful Wisdom Teeth

When asked how my friend's mom's funeral was, I said "It was fabulous!" I guess you are not to say such things about funerals because I got a pretty funny look. But it was a wonderful funeral, it was very peaceful and calm. It is times like these where I am very thankful for my knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is very sad to see people die but it is very reassuring to know that death is not the end. The fact that we will all be together again through the power of Jesus' atonement brings much strength to my life and I am very thankful for that. Janette found an awesome dress to wear and she looked very good today by the way. She sure is a trooper and I admire her strength!

Josh Bills(aka by brother from another mother) got his wisdom teeth out this week. I hope you enjoy the pictures of him "icing" his face as much as I did seeing him in his head gear. He walked down the stairs last night and I couldn't help but laughing when I saw him. I had to apologize because it is not nice to pick on people who are sick.

Just Here!

Yesterday I did some major hanging of pictures. Man, I really love my drill. I know that wall is pretty cluttered but I think it works as a baseball shrine. My favorite thing is the saying my friend gave to me before she left town it reads: "The most important things in life are good friends and a good bullpen. Not necessarily in that order." The funniest part about that is that said friend didn't even know what a bullpen is but she knew it was about baseball. For those of you who don't know what a bullpen is, here is a quick definition: A bullpen is a place for the pitchers to warm up before going into the game to relieve the current pitcher. For those of you who don't know what a pitcher is, he is the one who throws the ball for the batter to try to hit. It is nice to have friends who appreciate my love for sports and respect it even if they do not have the same passion. I also like educating them all about sports. I think it helps them with men! :) (Well, maybe not because it hasn't helped me much!

Not much else. Today I need to do some major laundry and bike before heading up to Salt Lake for the funeral stuff. I hate funerals, but it is why I am still here so there I will be.

I hope you all have fabulous days!

P.S. I found a reasonably priced flight to Wausau, WI for Monday. Yipee!
