A cute boy sat by me at the beginning of Sunday School at church today, here is how the conversation went after Sunday School:
Cute Boy: "Hi, what is your name?"
Me: "I'm Alice."
Long awkward pause.....
Me: "What's your name?"
Cute Boy: "Aaron."
Me: "Nice to meet you Aaron." I put out my hand and we shook hands which is always a bit awkward.
Long awkward silence.......
Aaron: "How only you been in the ward?"
Me: "One year."
Long awkward pause.....
Aaron: "Do you like the ward?"
Me: "Yeah, there are a lot of nice people here."
More awkward pause while putting away chairs and then Aaron left without saying another word.
This is one of a few reasons why I am still single: I cannot keep a conversation alive!

As far as I know Andi does not have plans for August. Just go ahead and do the reservations--we'll enjoy what we have.
Dad is doing well. lots of phone calls this weekend.

I have never had any trouble carrying on a conversation with you... perhaps it was his fault... I agree with your mom, try again. :) Love ya!
Thanks for all the comments. I thought this was more funny than anything. Both of us were awkward which was the funniest part. I guess I will try again next time. Hopefully the awkward girl experience doesn't keep him from coming to the ward again.
Hahaha. Oh Alice. You and your boys. I laughed right out loud while at work. I can just picture it! I agree with Morgan-maybe he's shy?
That made me laugh out loud! I wish I could have been there to urge the conversation along! I think we all agree the fault is with the shy boy!
